I was in college and in the choir with Norma, and always enjoyed being around her. I probably helped with the wheelchair, but don't ever remember it being a task or burden on any of us. This is a great testimony to Grace given to her, and to Gratitude given to God. I was also thankful to read some of "the rest of the story." I think I read it in one day!Product details

Norma is an inspiration for anyone who meets her and when reading her book. I am so glad she was finally able to share her life with others who read her book. I pray her book will help others who are struggling with life issues and turn to God for help. God sure has had his hands on Norma's life and what a life she has lived for him.
We've waited for years for Norma to tell her amazing story. Her tenacity and courage have been a marvel to all of us who are privileged to know her. Her strength of character has been an inspiration. This book is a great review of her fascinating life, and I think everyone we know should read it and be educated on what the word "resilient" means.
When Job was afflicted by God the Satan believed that he would curse God. Job's wife urged him to curse God and die. Read the story of a woman more severely afflicted at birth than Job ever was. She refuses to curse God. Her life is a Psalm to his praise. This book will nourish your faith!
I'm so glad to see that Norma's book, long a dream of hers, is now published, and done so well. I have known Norma for years and we often talked about her desire to tell her story. I am grateful that the right co-author came along and made it a reality. It is a beautiful book, easy to read, with wonderful pictures from the highlights of Norma's life. It will inspire you to get over "but I can't" when you see what she accomplished!
What a joy to read about Norma's amazing life and to see that God's hands guided her to fulfill a long time dream. We became close friends in Bible study and and this book is a long time answer to prayer. She and Kenneth are a power couple for Jesus. Their lives glorify HIM. Debbie Ronk does a masterful job telling this great story in a concise way. This book will inspire you to take nothing for granted and encourage you to be sure that God does not make mistakes. Norma Garrett was a very close friend of my mom and I grew up knowing her in my life. I have so many memories of different adventures, from riding in her van, (to this day, she is one of the best drivers I have ever ridden with) to swimming at the local pool. She is the most inspirational person I have ever known.
I highly recommend this book, her story and faith is so inspiring of not letting anything keep you from doing what you want in life!
What an amazing life! Norma has shared her story of what can be done even in the face of - what most people would consider - insurmountable odds. Her humor, faith and God's grace are ever-present throughout the book.
