This book was soo much better than the first one in this series. It started off a little slow for me and I didn't initially like the main character Natasha. As I continued to read I really grew to like Natasha and Gianna. Their relationship was a whirlwind romance and Natasha was finally able to let her guard down and love him completely. The book also gave the readers a more insight into Jack and Victoria. In this book, the readers could really see Jacks love for his wife. There were some hidden doubts in the first book such as did Jack marry Vic because of her pregnancy? In this book, there is no doubt about his feelings for Victoria. The man was overly protective, possessive and In love with his wife. I love the fact that the author gave the characters more depth and humor. The ending of the book had me on the edge of my seat. There were a lot of twists and turns in store for the reader. I will be definitely reading more of Ms. Daniels work.Product details

In both of the Prey books, the beginning is a bit slow and then the end gets good but rushed. I did like that the you see more from the characters in book one, but I felt like they were more dominant than the supposed main characters in this book. It would be good to get more depth from the characters as opposed to "I see you" "I want you" and bam! "I love you"
I never really could see why they loved each other. Didn't truly explore that side of it. Entertaining but would have like more story to the story.
Holy cow! Phoenix Daniels, you did it again. You have been blessed with a wonderful gift of storytelling. I love how you made Natasha such a strong woman with flaws. She didn't start off her life with a silver spoon in her mouth, yet when she was given the means to live life of luxury, she remained humble. I love how she made Gianni work for their relationship, instead of giving in like he was accustomed to. Gianni is an Alpha Man, and knew when to allow his woman to fight her own battles but keep her in line at the same time. Then you brought back my favorite couple, Jack and Victoria. Please tell me that there will be a book 3
I finished this book and had to go back and re-read to make sure I didn't miss any thing. Phoenix Daniels,lady you did your thing for I stay up all night and then Facebook Ms Daniels to let her know Howe I need the next book NOW. Gianni does not disappoint and Natasha........Natasha is kick butt and take names later, but Gianni had a way of conquering all from Natasha and still making Natasha feel all Woman hear me roar. Buy this book you will not be disappointed I promise you will feel like Luca needs to hurry up and fly on Ms Daniels page and ask for more. Poisoning just incase I forgot,we are revisited by all the crazy from Prey 1, and those we loved. OUTSTANDING JOB ONCE AGAIN..........
A great new author, I had seen book one in this series a few times and the cover turned me off. Well I downloaded a 'sample' of book one and loved the sample so then I purchased book one and loved it. I quickly bought other two books in series and waiting on the fourth book!!!! Please tell me their will be a fourth book? The third book ending leads you to believe more is coming!. Ms Phoenix Daniels makes my 'favorite' lists!!!!!
Gianni and Natasha are an amazing couple. They compliment and complete each other in so many ways.
BP2 is as hot and as sexy as the first one. Intrigue, suspense and betrayal are the base words to describe the roadway of Gianni and Natasha's love story. Until Gianni came along Natasha never gave any man a chance to get close to her. But something about this beautiful man called to her.
Gianni realized that Natasha was different and he decked to pursue her and find out what it was that was so different about her. What he found was his forever.
Great job Ms. Daniels.
And this time I am leaving a review instead of just a rating....which I added another star from the first time. Natasha and Gianni, these two were such a delight to, from Gianni's don't take "NO" for an answer to Natasha inability to SAY "no" they were perfect. I must say these Storm men do not play about their women. First Jack coming to Victoria's rescue with Natasha's help at that then Gianni taking up the rescue mission as GI Gianni for Natasha. And what is up with this Chicago PD? They certainly didn't care for the safety of their officers and have crooked cops on the force. Sad that Deon was one of them. Can't believe he went out like that. The crazy Caroline sneaking in the cottage to get with Vic, stealing baby Jasmine man she definitely got what she deserved. I am so glad Tammy became an ally that can be trusted. I so enjoyed reading book two AGAIN and this series is being highly recommended.
That's how Tasha felt about life. Being raised by a neglecting drug addicted aunt, she felt that she needed to be of help to others, hence her job as an undercover drug task force detective until she was forced out. She was not happy with the new assignment of the vice investigation. We see Natasha going from a shy, quiet and reclusive woman to a self confident woman in love with the love of her life Gianni. When they are around each other, they just could not fight the magnetism they felt for each other. He gives her the reason to take a chance on life despite what happened to her in her youth that made her believe she was in worthy of love.
Gianni was a beautiful playboy who professed to stay single until he saw Tasha for the first time. She was thoroughly
embedded under his skin and was determined to make her his in everyday possible, including tricking her into marriage in Vegas and refusing to divorce her and accepting her just the easy she is warts and all.
This book was full of drama, suspense and mystery. I was surprised at the end to find out about Deon. Some people just don't take rejection well at all including Caroline. It was well written with the surprising revelations being revealed at just the right time.
